Cebu Island fascinates with its complete natural environment including remote mountain sites and white sandy beaches along some coast . The South of Cebu Island has hidden natural treasures known to few. Apart from it's diving - Cebu has amazing potential as an outdoor action destination. Planet Action, based in Moalboal on Cebu Island, is still the only organizer of adventure tours in the region.

Weather in Moalboal on Cebu Island

Adventure travel is possible all the year around. The hottest and driest month are March, April and May. From June to October is the weather is fine, unlike the northern part of the Philippines, where it rains a lot during this period. From November to January it can be quite windy and rainy too, however the sunny days are more likely. Cebu Island is protected by surrounding islands. Statistically only every ten years a major storms or typhoon hit the area.

From the Planet Action Office at Panagsama Beach you can send and receive E-mail as well as make international phone calls. There is also a wifi zone at the Tipolo Beach resort for our guests. Anywhere on Cebu Island you can use your own handy phone, there is coverage almost everywhere by leading cell site providers in the Philippines.

Payments and Money changer

In Moalboal there are no ATM machine at the moment.. Please bring enough cash. You can change most major currencies here. Traveler Checks are not recommended. Visa and Master Card are accepted in only a few establishment.

Health Care & Hospitals in Cebu

Cebu Island, and all our adventure destinations, are malaria-free. Common medicines (like antibiotics or aspirin) are available in Moalboal pharmacies and much cheaper than in Western countries. For emergencies, some hospitals reach western standards in Cebu City.

One of the advantages to explore the natural wonders of Cebu Island is its accessibility.You can reach the island from many international airports around Asia and the world. From Manila , there are flights every hour by several domestic airlines. From Cebu you can travel by air or sea to almost any other point in the Philippines.

Directions to Moalboal from Cebu City and Mactan Airport

Planet Action Adventure is located in Moalboal, 90 km south west from Cebu City on Cebu Island. However there are several ways to reach us:

The easy way- Private Transfer - just let us organize your private transfers from any place on Cebu Island Mactan or the airport. Rates per car up to 3 people 60 $ US one way or by van up to 8 people 85 $ US.

By Bus - in Cebu City go to the South Bus Terminal - there are departures every 30 minutes to Moalboal (travel time: two and half hours). From the bus stop in Moalboal take a tricycle (motorbike with side car) to Planet Action Adventure at Panagsama Beach, around 3km distance - Everybody knows us there!

By taxi - just hire a taxi in Cebu City - tell the driver to go to Moalboal - Panagsama Beach. From there you can easily find us - the whole Beach is only 1 km long and you can't miss Planet Action Adventure office.
